So about two-ish weeks ago my mom and I were walking down our road to get some yummies (aka. treats) and I saw this little kid walking along the road with us and he had a very familiar shirt on......."Rick Shaw Rally" <-- I was like "NO WAY" hahaha it was hilarious.

| So I'm reading Alice in Wonderland....wow crazy book but really quite a fun read. I'd recommend it..plus it's a classic.
Ahh how delightful Christmas was!! So blessed to be with most of my family! It was tremendous : ) I love Christmas...we still have all the decorations up..I guess they'll come down sometime after my birthday...AH my birthday. this Monday and yes I am stoked : )
I've been listening to a lot of Coldplay, Snow Patrol and Death Cab For Cutie...I'm telling you guys these are some of my favorite bands....did The Postal Service really come out with a new cd? That's what I heard..but I haven't seen anything..know what i'm sayin?
Kev is still around...haha no he's doing good that I know of (are you kev?) he sprained his ankle the other day! Ahhhhh very very uncool thing to do. Doesn't he know that we are going to the beach this weekend? so rude...just kidding of course!! have you guys ever played the computer game Worms? I'm pretty sure its the best..haha ahh good times.

It's January 4th..wow. only four short months till I move back to the states and say peace out to Benin...life is so intense..seriously.

Merry Christmas Eve!!!!! AHhhh tomorrow is Christmas! Who’s excited? Yeah pretty much everyone!!!!!! I love it. ; )
Kev got here this past Monday night and we’ve been wicked busy since he’s been here! It’s been good times though…we saw some african teens do some mad, tight dancing – seriously backflips off walls…the whole thang..we were like “wait..are we in benin??” yeah that’s not too normal over here - : ) Been playing some hardcore basketball with some of the guys around here….wrapped a bunch of presents..went to a Christmas party for our kids over here who are orphans – lots of jazz..but great jazz..speakin of jazz I really do enjoy it –music-wise that is. : )
You guys all have a blessed Christmas! Hopefully most of you in the states will get some SNOW! That’s the best part! Ah..I’m missing my cousins cause this is ourrrr time of the year! Ah heck yes. Anyways it’s all good. I’m blessed to be here with my family!! (minus ryan and his wifey jk) : ) haha love you guys and miss you! like my girl sarah clay said - don't forget what Christmas is really about - a loving Saviour who came to this world to die for us!! The perfect gift of all! He is all we really need this Christmas!! (but hey enjoy the gifts too and don't forget your thank you cards..) : )

So I went to Nigeria this past Sunday with my parents....wow. So crazy,
hectic....very intense but I actually liked it!! Heck yes I did! Okay
so check it out the first night we stayed in Lagos and in that whole
city there are FOURTEEN MILLION PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wait did you get
that..........14,000,000 people....word up that is a lot! In all of
Benin there are only 7 million people! Haha....the traffic was -
insane, the people live on TOP of each other (literally)...the
pollution and garbage were..gross.....but it was tight! They had
highways and everything!! Even some malls..we stayed at our Baptist
guesthouse and it was inside of two compounds so it'd be safe and we
weren't aloud to leave the compound at nightime...uh lagos is a pretty
dangerous place when it gets dark..I've defintely heard some horrendous
stories!.wow it was crazy though...we didn't stay in Lagos the whole
time tho- we went the capitol Abuja and then on to Jos another big
town...it was good times and I got to see a good girlfriend and we were
cracking up 24-7 ohhh mannnn haha it was good. God is good!
Check it out I was just given some songs by this band called Telecaster
and they are SWEET some of the best lyrics ever...wow love it....and I
soo thank God for my Mp3 player because it was my source of
entertainment for the many hours spent traveling...very cool. And I
finished reading this great book called "Just Like Jesus" by Max
Lucado...very good I'd recommend it to any of you!
Well I just got home a few hours ago and it was so good to see our new
puppy Max...he's a great little fellow...I hope you all are doing
fabulous!! And I would hope that life is treating you well! <3 <3
